Muzuri Ware is a ceramics studio run by architectural
designer and maker Kyri Mouzouris. Following an
architectural education, a curiosity and requisite
to practise within multiple fields of craft led him to
explore carpentry, blacksmithing, and ceramics before
establishing his own studio in Highgate, North London.
Alongside his ceramic studio, he is engaged in leading
both student and private architectural projects,
fostering an interdisciplinary approach that bridges
all fields. Influenced by traditional Japanese craft &
design methodologies, works honour the textures &
imperfections of locally sourced foraged materials.
Often collected from the coasts, forests and riverbeds
of England, works aim to capture and embody the
environmental qualities of the materials’ origin.
Current collections focus on tea ware, blending
antiquated aesthetics with refined, robust forms. Muzuri
Ware also collaborates with multiple Michelin-starred
restaurants, creating bespoke tableware that aligns with
the visual and functional demands of high-end culinary experiences.
